Construction!
This includes supportive services to help you complete the
program, secure employment & navigate your career!
Program Description
- During the 12-week paid, online training (240 hours), participants design & build a home or community
smart farm using soilless farming methods & integrative technologies.
- Eligible participants engage in a learn-to-earn model where they learn how to design, build and
maintain sustainable smart farms, while building transferrable skills and credentials in emerging
sectors. Participants develop real world projects that advance community food systems leverage
technology skills while earning an income. Throughout and after this period, CFFG provides professional
development and career support so that participants can find gainful employment in our target sectors.
Agriculture
Participants learn fundamental farm design, maintenance and food system skills to build a
sustainable smart farm.
Technology
Participants gain introductory coding, programming and 3D design skills while implementing AgTech
ancillary tools into farms.
Construction
Participants gain access to an OSHA-10 training online at no-cost to ensure basic site safety
skills and advance their employment profiles.
Eligibility Requirements
- • Are you a New York City resident?

• Are you currently unemployed or underemployed (earning less than
$45,000/year)?
- • Are you between the ages of 18-24 years old?
- • Currently holding less than a Bachelor's Degree?

• Are you looking to explore career pathways into Agriculture,
Technology, or Construction?
- • Do you have a passion for helping your community?
